Odcizený syn Wiltona Knighta, Garthe, se vrací z Afriky, kde byl odsouzen ke třem doživotním trestům. Společně se svou matkou Elizabeth (Wiltonova čtvrtá žena) dokázal uloupit složení K.I.T.T.ova ochranného pancíře a aplikoval jej na monster truck nazvaný Goliáš. Garthe se následně rozhodně zničit Michaela, protože má pocit, že tomuto muži jeho tec dal vše, co právoplatně mělo patřit jemu...
Nachdem Michael und K. I. T. T. durchschaut haben, dass Garthe Raketen der Regierung beschlagnahmen und an einen afrikanischen Revolutionär verkaufen will, versuchen sie ihm das Handwerk zu legen. Allerdings wird es ein schwieriges Unterfangen, da Michaels Halbbruder Garthe extrem skrupellos handelt.
Michael enquête sur la disparition de Ron Wilcox et découvre que son demi-frère, Garthe, est en train de mettre au point un nouveau véhicule selon les mêmes procédés que ceux utilisés pour KITT.
