Although initially perplexed at the sudden turn of events which led her to live in the hot spring inn Kissuisou, now Ohana is perfectly accustomed to the new lifestyle; she has started to even notice a positive change in herself lately. One day from a neighboring inn Fukuya comes Wakura Yuina on a mission to train herself as an okami, where Ohana is told by her grandmother to assist this naive young girl.
Upon tidying up the storeroom Ohana discovers a box amid piles of items scattered around, which is packed with business logs Denroku has made over the years. She picks up a log and finds in it her mother's name, together with the fact that her mother once said she wanted to shine, and there she realizes the minds of both mother and daughter work the same.
祖母の経営する温泉旅館“喜翆荘”（きっすいそう）での住み込み生活にもすっかり慣れた、
東京生まれの女子高生・松前緒花は、
板前の鶴来民子や仲居見習いの押水菜子らと過ごす毎日の中で、
少しずつ変わっていく自分に気づきはじめていた。
秋も深まってきたある日、クラスメイトでライバル旅館“福屋”の一人娘である和倉結名が、
喜翆荘に女将修行にやってくる。
奔放な結名に翻弄されながらも面倒をみていた緒花は、掃除をしていた物置の中で、あるものを見つける。
도쿄에서 나고 자란 여고생 마츠마에 오하나는 어머니 마츠마에 사츠키의 사정으로 그때까지 한 번도 본 적 없는 외할머니 시지마 스이가 경영하는 온천여관 킷스이소로 보내진다. 처음에는 낯선 온천여관에서의 생활도, 종업원으로서의 자신에게도 낯설어하지만 요리사 견습생 츠루기 민코와 종업원으로 일하고 있는 오시미즈 나코 등과 매일을 보내며 킷스이소에서의 생활에도 익숙해지고 또한 조금씩 변해가는 자신을 자각하기 시작한다.
그리고 가을이 깊어져가는 어느 날, 반 친구이자 라이벌 여관 후쿠야의 외동딸 와쿠라 유이나가 킷스이소에 주인마님 수업차 방문한다. 자유분방한 유이나에게 휘둘리면서도 이래저래 돌봐주던 오하나, 그러던 중 오래된 물건을 정리해두던 방에서 어떤 것을 찾게 되는데...

Das Kissuiso ist mal wieder im Hochbetrieb. Während Ohana sich um Wakuras Ausbildung bemüht, entdeckt sie alte Notizhefte, die einige noch für sie unbekannte Infos über die Jugendzeit ihrer Mutter enthalten. Doch während sie über ihre faule Mutter und ihre Beziehung zu ihr nachdenkt, setzt ein Stromausfall das Kissuiso lahm. Dabei sollte demnächst eine große Zahl von Besuchern kommen …
La jeune Ohana Matsumae commence à s'habituer à sa nouvelle vie dans l'auberge de sa grand-mère. Mais un jour, la fille du directeur d'une autre auberge, Yuina, viens leur rendre visite dans le but de faire une formation afin d'apprendre le même métier que Ohana.
Pendant ce temps, Ohana qui faisait du rangement découvre un mystérieux petit carnet...
