A friend lends Tom Martin a country cottage for a holiday with his wife, Sarah. On the way there, Tom's car runs out of control and he can't stop it. The car ends up at a house in the woods, where Tom and Sarah meet eight beautiful Hungarian children and their Nanny, Mrs Ardoy. That night, they have an experience which will change their lives.

Historia de licántropos, la más "hammeriana" de todas, y también otra de las mejores, con vuelta de tuerca incluida. Más que impredecible, mantiene el interés y la tensión durante todo el relato, a propósito de pareja de vacaciones a la cual se le avería el auto en medio del bosque y va a parar a una mansión donde una amable mujer (Diana Dors) y niños angelicales pero con extrañas actitudes (inevitable recordar a los de El pueblo de los malditos, la famosa coproducción británica dirigida por el ya fallecido Wolf Rilla) les dan hospedaje hasta el amanecer. La aparición de un hombre lobo en los alrededores cambiará el rumbo de las cosas.
