In a historic visit, the New York Philharmonic became the first American artists to perform in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, also known as North Korea. Conductor Lorin Maazel directed the orchestra in their concert at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre in North Korea's capital city of Pyongyang.
