Da das Staatsalchemisten-Qualifikationsexamen immer näher rückt, übernachten Ed und Al im Haus des Sewing Life Alchemisten Shou Tucker, den ihnen Oberleutnant Mustang vorgestellt hat. Beflügelt durch die Ermutigungen von Tuckers liebenswürdiger Tochter Nina und ihrem Hund Alexander lernen die beiden jeden Tag fleißig bis tief in die Nacht. Am Tag der Prüfung dann sitzen beide im Auditorium des Militärhauptquartiers.
Ed and Al finally arrive in Central City. Needing a place to stay, Mustang places the boys under the supervision of 'Sewing-Life Alchemist' Shou Tucker. Awed by Tucker's mansion and vast library of Alchemy books, the brothers spend some happy days of study and good fun. All their work leads up to one event -- the Alchemy Exam.
Ed et Al arrivent finalement à Central et commencent à étudier pour l'examen. Mustang s'est arrangé pour qu'ils résident chez Shou Tucker, un Alchimiste d'Etat qui a passé son examen en créant une Chimère capable de comprendre et de parler le langage humain...

Para se prepararem para o teste de Alquimistas Federais, Ed e Al ficam hospedados na casa de Shou Tucker, um renomado alquimista conhecido por ter criado uma quimera capaz de falar. Lá, eles se afeiçoam a pequena Nina, filha de 4 anos do alquimista.
Ed y Al finalmente llegan a Ciudad Central. Como necesitan un lugar donde quedarse, Mustang pone a los chicos bajo la supervisión de Shou Tucker, el Alquemista de la vida. Impresionado por la mansión de Tucker y su gran librería de libros de Alquimia, los hermanos pasan unos días felices estudiando y pasándola bien. Todo su trabajo es para un gran evento: el examen de Alquimia.
센트럴 시티에 도착한 에드워드와 알폰스는 철명의 연금술사 쇼 터커의 저택으로 들어가 연금술사 시험 준비에 돌입한다.
