Suzaku plant Nanali als neue General-Gouverneurin für das Gebiet 11 einzusetzen, was natürlich Lelouch hart trifft. In einem brutalen Kampf über den Pazifischen Ozean will er Nanali aus den Fängen von Britannien befreien.
Rolo uses his Geass to buy Lelouch time to say words of caution to Nunnally without revealing his reawakened memories to Suzaku. Unwilling to fight against Nunnally, Lelouch orders the Black Knights to capture her as she is transported to Area 11 by airship. Successfully boarding the vessel, Zero meets with her and tries to convince that Britannia is using her. Nunnally reveals she volunteered for the position, and states she wishes to continue Euphemia's Specially Administrated Zone of Japan, requesting a bewildered Zero to join her. Britannian reinforcements hinder the Black Knights' assault, and as the airship crashes into the sea, Suzaku manages to save Nunnally, taking her away from Lelouch a second time.
Grâce à la présence opportune de Rollo, Lelouch s'est sorti indemne du piège tendu par Suzaku. Mais il ne décolère pas de l'implication de Nunnally dans cette histoire de rébellion.

Rolo ayuda con su geass y congela a Suzaku por un tiempo, puesto que Lelouch debe continuar fingiendo que tiene recuerdos falsos en los que Nunally no existe. Luego de eso, Zero reune a la Orden de los Caballeros Negros quienes salen de la embajada en camino a atacar la nave en la que la nueva Gobernadora General de la Área 11 se dirige para secuestrarla. Nunally se encuentra con Zero y le ofrece reestablecer la Zona Administrativa Especial de Japón a lo que Zero no responde. Tras esto, la niña es rescatada de una nave que está a punto hundirse por el Lancelot.
