Yumis Vater leiht Hideki seinen DVD-Player aus. Zusätzlich bekommt er noch von Minoru ein Netzwerkspiel geliehen. Nachdem alles angeschlossen ist stellen sie aber fest, dass Chii als Einzige nicht mitspielen kann. Sie vermuten zunächst nur einen überlasteten Server und wollen es am nächsten Tag noch einmal ausprobieren. Aber dann passiert etwas unerwartetes...
Yumi's dad loans Hideki his DVD player, and tells him of a DVD sale coming up. Hoping to get some mature videos, Hideki embarrassingly meets Minoru and sis instead, who offer him a fantasy multiplayer Internet game (Brave Quest Online) that persocoms can play too. Hideki thinks this would be fun to play with Chii. But Hideki knows nothing about hooking up to the internet! Fortunately Shimbo helps him out. Now everyone's logged on, except for Chii; she's missing (in the game)! Oh no, what's Hideki going to do now? Blindly run through the game looking for her of course!

Hideki tenta di giocare ad un gioco in rete prestatogli da Minoru, ma dal momento che è piuttosto imbranato per quanto riguarda i computer, chiede aiuto Shinbo e gli propone di giocare con lui, Sumomo e Chii. Quando però si ritrova all'interno del gioco, Hideki si accorge che Chi non c'è e si mette alla sua ricerca. Supera tutte le trappole e i mostri del gioco fino ad arrivare al super-mostro finale. Mai nessun giocatore ha mai battuto il super-mostro e anche lui sta per soccombere, quando improvvisamente sopraggiunge Chii che sbaraglia il nemico e vince il gioco.
「ええっ！マ、マジッスか！？DVDなんて、ほんとに借りていいんですか！？」
「ああ、本須和くんも年ごろなんだし、色々ホラ……な？」
「な、って……。」
バイト先の店長にそんなふうに言われて、苦笑しつつも、ありがたくDVDプレイヤーを借りた本須和。
そして、その帰り道、駅前の電気屋でＤＶＤソフトを物色していると、偶然に、稔と出会うのだった。何でも新作のネットゲームを買いに来たという。聞けば、借りたＤＶＤプレイヤーを使えばそのネットゲームも遊べるらしかった。
「面白いですよ、パソコンと一緒に遊ぶ事もできますし。」
それを聞いて、がぜんやる気になる本須和。ちぃと一緒にネットゲームだ！、とアパートに戻ったのだが……何をどうすればネットゲームを遊べるのか、全くもって判らない始末。
「ええっ！何だよこのライセンス料って……なにーっ！月千円かかる！？あ、最初の一ヶ月は無料か……。ん？何だ、ブロードバンドアダプターって……？ま、いいや……え？パスワードが違う？何でだよ～！えっとえっと～～……。」
結局、新保に頼んで色々と設定してもらい、ネットに接続し遊べるようになったのは、翌日の夜の事であった……。
「よーし、ゲームスタート！」
そうして、ちぃ、新保、すももと一緒に、4人でネットゲームの世界に入る本須和。
「おおっ！ 来た来た来たーっ！ジャンプはこれか。剣は……これか！」
初めての体験に、はしゃぐ本須和だったが、しばらくしてある事に気がつくのだった。
「ちぃが……いない……。」
一緒にアクセスしたはずのちぃの姿が、忽然とかき消え
Hideki recibe un reproductor de DVD de su jefe, para que pueda ver películas pervertidas y de chicas. Hideki decide ir a un videoclub a alquilar algunas de estas películas. Allí, se encuentra a Minoru y Yuzuki, quienes le dicen que están allí por un nuevo videojuego. Minoru le ofrece a Hideki probarlo, ya que el reproductor que llevaba le permitiría jugar. Hideki pide ayuda a Shinbo y a Minoru sobre el juego y sus instrucciones. Al final, Hideki, Chii, Sumomo y Shimbo logran conectarse para poder jugar. Al aparecer en el juego, Shinbo, Sumomo y Hideki están juntos, pero Chii no está. Después se encuentran con Minoru y Yuzuki, quienes le dicen a Hideki que quizá la ciudad donde se encontraban estaba tan llena que Chii fue enviada a otra ciudad del juego. Hideki pasa toda la noche buscándola en el juego, sin dormir, por lo que al día sigueinte estaba muy cansado. Chii dice no recordar nada del juego. Al volver a casa, Chii le pide de jugar de vuelta. El, Chii, Shinbo y Sumomo se conectan, pero otra vez Chii no está con ellos, siendo raro. Al final del juego Hideki se está enfrentando a un monstruo gigante y está a punto de perder, cuando Chii aparece de la nada y gana el juego, hasta ahora nunca ganado por nadie. Se cree que Chii tiene un programa y una CPU de gran energía, lo que le permitió trasladarse de ciudades y ganar el juego.
