The Golden Man

Aus einer lebensrettenden Kapsel in einem Asteroidenschwarm wird ein Junge geborgen. Er ist von Kopf bis Fuß goldfarben. Der Junge erzählt von einem Artgenossen, dessen Raumschiff auf einem Häftlingsplaneten notlanden musste. Der Searcher versucht, ihn zu retten.

The Searcher rescues a gold-skinned boy from an escape capsule in an asteroid field. When the ship collides with one of the asteroids, the boy displays his powers of molecular alteration by rescuing Admiral Asimov from beneath a fallen girder. The boy assures the crew of the Searcher that, with the help of his companion, who is on a nearby planet, he can dislodge the ship from the asteroid. But when Buck and Hawk go to the planet to get the companion, they find that he is being held captive by a man who wants to use the boy's powers for his own greedy purposes.

Le Searcher trouve une capsule spatiale qui dérivait. À son bord se trouve un jeune garçon à la peau dorée du nom de Vellus. Alors que le searcher est attiré inexorablement vers les astéroïdes, le jeune homme leur confie que son ami Velis a suffisamment d'énergie pour permettre au vaisseau de se tirer de ce mauvais pas mais il s'est échoué sur une planète. Buck et Vellus se dirigent donc vers cette planète pour le retrouver...
