Angela a Jack spatří po probuzení nad postelí zavěšenou mrtvolu staženou z kůže. V postýlce jejich syna Michaela jsou okvětní lístky z Egypta. Jack je přesvědčen, že jim toto hrůzné aranžmá připravil hacker a vrah Christopher Pelant, který nyní vystupuje jako egyptský občan Basam al-Fayet. V institutu zjistí, že vrah mrtvole odstranil dolní čelist a orgány. Ve svalech objeví částečky šrapnelů a na lopatce léze od písečných blech. Muž mohl patřit ke speciálním jednotkám. After Hodgins and Angela are drugged and wake up to a bloody corpse hanging in the canopy of their bed and flower petals around their son Michael's crib, they are forced to believe that Pelant is back for revenge against Hodgins. Although Hodgins wants to go after Pelant directly, Booth knows it's best to work within the system and not go against protocol. Meanwhile, as the Jeffersonian team investigates the corpse, they discover the victim was a Special Forces agent working for the world's biggest supplier of mercenaries, and Angela and Hodgins decide to start an investigation without the rest of the Jeffersonian team for the sake of their family.

Luego de que Hodgins y Angela fueran drogados y despertaran con un sangriento cuerpo colgado desde el techo de su cama y encontraran pétalos de rosa alrededor de la cuna de Michael, están forzados a creer que Pelant ha regresado para vengarse contra Hodgins. Aunque Hodgins quiere ir detrás de Pelant, Booth sabe manejarse en el sistema y no ir en contra del protocolo.
