Uryu gibt sich in einem Kampf mit Ichigo als Quincy zu erkennen. Trotz der langjährigen Rivalität zwischen der Gruppe der Quincies und der Shinigami, müssen sich Ichigo und Uryu im bevorstehenden Kampf gegen einen Menos Grande verbünden.
Rukia tells Ichigo why the Shinigami defeated the Quincy 200 years earlier. Ichigo confronts Uuryu with this knowledge while they are fighting the Hollows. This makes Uuryu remember how his Sensei died. While reminiscing Ichigo and Uuryu notice they are surrounded by Hollows and must work together to defeat them. While they are fighting Urahara and his friends show up and defeat the Hollows. Now Ichigo and Uuryu can concentrate on the Menos, a gigantic Hollow formed from hundreds of Hollows, which just appeared in the sky.
Une énorme quantité de Hollows sont sur les lieux. Ishida (le Quincy) et Ichigo doivent ainsi joindre leurs forces pour les éradiquer. Mais c'est alors qu'un Menos Grande, une gigantesque créature née du rassemblement de plusieurs centaines de Hollows, fait son apparition !
Rukia spiega a Ichigo il motivo per il quale gli Shinigami furono costretti a sterminare i Quincy. Se non lo avessero fatto, la rottura dell'equilibrio tra mondo dei vivi e Soul Society avrebbe causato la fine del mondo.
押し寄せるホロウの大群に別々に立ち向かう一護と石田。戦いの最中語られるクインシー滅亡の歴史。そして石田が死神を憎む理由。死神を見返す為に意地を張って一人で戦い続ける石田だったが、予想を越えて出現してくるホロウの群れに内心で焦りを感じ始めていた。そんな石田に対して自分の戦う理由を話し、力を合わせて戦うことを持ちかける一護。戸惑う石田。その時、巨大な力をもつ新たな敵が2人の前に出現しようとしていた。
Ichigo e Ishida siguen luchando sin descanso contra los Hollows. Durante el combate, la historia sobre la aniquilación de los Quincy sale a la luz dejando claro el odio de Ishida hacia los Shinigamis. De repente un enemigo muy poderoso aparece. ¿Acabarán uniéndose ambos para derrotarle?
De volta á luta de Ichigo e Ishida contra um bando de Hollows, é contada a história de aniquilação que os Quincy sofreram, então, finalmente, Ichigo compreende o ódio que o rival possui em relação aos Deuses da Morte. Por este motivo Ishida se nega a lutar com ajuda, porém conforme a situação se complica e com a insistência de Ichigo talvez as coisas mudem de figura.
