Batman gelingt es, sich aus der Umklammerung des Batcomputers zu befreien und HARDAC bricht die Verbindung ab, bevor der Dunkle Ritter sie zu Cybertron zurück verfolgen kann. Batman wird von Barbara Gordon über das Batsignal gerufen. Sie berichtet ihm, daß sie glaubt, ihr Vater sei ausgetauscht worden. Doch zu guter Letzt werden Rossum, Gordon, Bullock und Hill gerettet und ihre Roboterduplikate zerstört.
Batman manages to free himself from the Batcave's clutches, and brings it back under his control, although he fails to track Duane down. Barbara Gordon approaches Batman to inform him of her father's sudden change in behaviour. A brutal fight between Batman and Detective Bullock ensues, during which Batman pushes Bullock onto the Bat Signal, and reveals him to actually be an android, meaning that the real Bullock and James Gordon have gone missing, and Batman knows who the culprit is: H.A.R.D.A.C. Can he stop the evil supercomputer before it's too late?
Batman découvre que HARDAC a pour objectif de remplacer les humains par des robots intelligents. Il a déjà remplacé certaines personnes, dont Gordon, et c'est à Batman de l'arrêter.
Quando il Commissario Gordon e il detective Bullock vengono sostituiti da androidi artificiali con le loro sembianze, Batman scopre che il colpevole e responsabile delle rapine è proprio il super computer H.A.R.D.A.C.
Batman descobre que HARDAC tem como objetivo substituir os humanos por robôs inteligentes. Ele já substituiu algumas pessoas, inclusive Gordon e cabe a Batman impedi-lo.
Batman logra liberarse de la Baticueva, y la devuelve a su control, aunque no logra controlar a Duane. Barbara Gordon se acerca a Batman para informarle del cambio repentino de comportamiento de su padre. Una batalla brutal entre Batman y el detective Bullock se produce, durante la cual Batman empuja a Bullock en la señal del murciélago, y revela que él es realmente un androide, significando que el Bullock verdadero y James Gordon han desaparecido, y Batman sabe quién es el culpable: H.A.R.D.A.C.
