Anaru vermutet, dass nur Jinta Menma sehen könne, weil er sie geliebt habe. Am nächsten Tag besucht Chiriko "Tsuruko" Tsurumi dann Jinta, um ihn davon zu überzeugen, dass Yukiatsu von einer „falschen" Menma berichtet hat und dass man ihn deswegen konfrontieren müsse.
After Jinta keeps her from slipping in the same spot Menma died from, Naruko hints that he can probably see Menma because he loved her. Atsumu's claims of what Menma had told her differ from the real Menma's, so Jinta brings out the muffins that Menma made earlier, hoping to convey Menma's true feelings. The next day, Jinta is visited by Chiriko, who asks him to confront Atsumu about his 'fake Menma'. As the gang gets together that night, they appear to spot a Menma running around in the woods, which turns out to be Atsumu wearing a white sundress.

隣に「めんま」がいるのにと訝しむ「じんたん」だったが、真相を確かめるために、皆と一緒に「めんま」を捜しに向かう。
친구들 앞에서 자신은 이미 '멘마' 를 보았다고 이야기하는 '유키아츠'. 항상 자신의 옆에 있는 '멘마' 이였기에 그것이 의심이 간 '진탄'은 진상을 확인하기 위해, 모두와 함께 '멘마 찾기' 에 나선다.
Poco a poco llegan todos a la barbacoa organizada por Poppo y por unos momentos parece que el grupo de amigos regresa, pero las dudas sobre la veracidad de la historia de Jintan comienzan a surgir.
