Aída and her family move to the new house and the neighborhood where she lived her childhood. There she meets many well-known people and especially her friend Paz. The two are neighbors and in their reunion they tell each other what life has brought them during the time they have not seen each other. Paz, who practices prostitution, is dressed as a nurse and Aida thinks that she works in a hospital. Aida is proud that Paz has come so far and her friend, out of fear of disappointing her or losing her friendship, tries to hide her current occupation.
El punto de partida de 'Aída' es la muerte de su padre. Recibe la noticia y marcha al tanatorio donde se encuentra el cuerpo del difunto. Allí conoce la noticia en boca de su madre: su padre le ha dejado en herencia la casa familiar. Lo que en un principio se presenta como una oportunidad para vivir más desahogadamente se convierte -una vez más- en un problema. Su madre, una mujer rencorosa que siempre ha visto a Aída como una fracasada y con la que nunca tuvo una buena relación, vive en la casa heredada. Aída regresa al entorno de su infancia, al barrio donde se crió, y allí se reencuentra con sus familiares, amigos y no tan amigos. Sin embargo, no cuenta con que este reencuentro será el principio de su nueva vida.
