Haru bekommt überraschend Besuch von einem Mädchen, das behauptet sie sei seine Cousine zweiten Grades. Das Mädchen entpuppt sich dann aber als der legendäre Burst-linker – „der Rote König der 2. Generation“.
As Kuroyukihime's team attempts to claim more territories, Haru finds his tactics are becoming easily read by his opponents. He returns home to be greeted by Tomoko Saito, who is allegedly his second cousin who is staying with him whilst her parents are away. Haru soon deduces that she is in fact a Burst Linker known as Scarlet Rain, revealed by Kuroyukihime to be the Red King. Following a mishap in the bathroom, Tomoko challenges him to a Brain Burst match, proving to be too powerful for him. As Tomoko wins the match, she requests a real life meeting with Kuroyukihime. As Haru discusses the matter with Kuroyukihime, she reveals she had a thing for the previous Red King, Red Rider, who she had beheaded when she betrayed the other Level 9s.
Il gruppo di Kuroyukihime cerca di conquistare nuovi territori e durante il combattimento Haru scopre che le sue tattiche stanno venendo facilmente lette dai suoi avversari. Quando torna a casa viene accolto da Tomoko Saito, presumibilmente la sua cugina di secondo grado, che rimane con lui finché i suoi genitori sono via. Haru viene presto a sapere che lei è in realtà una Burst Linker di nome Scarlet Rain, che Kuroyukihime gli rivela essere il Re Rosso. In seguito a un incidente in bagno, Tomoko lo sfida a un combattimento in Brain Burst, provando di essere troppo forte per lui. Dato che Tomoko vince il match, come ricompensa chiede un incontro nella vita reale con il Re Nero. Mentre Haru discute del motivo con Kuroyukihime, questa gli rivela che aveva un debole per il precedente Re Rosso, Red Rider, che lei stessa aveva poi decapitato quando aveva tradito gli altri utilizzatori di livello 9.

Él regresa a casa para ser recibidos por Tomoko Saito, que es supuestamente su primo segundo, que se encuentre con él mientras sus padres están fuera. Haru pronto deduce que ella es, de hecho, un enlazador de ráfaga conocido como Scarlet Rain, reveladas por Kuroyukihime a ser el Rey Rojo.
