香港仔是本港的重要漁港區域，與鄰近的鴨脷洲構成漁船的「安樂港」。藉著導賞員、「地膽」街坊的講解，讓嘉賓主持張美妮和觀眾認識兩個地方的歷史文化。美妮第一站來到馳名中外的海鮮舫，品嚐美食之餘，亦會瞭解當中演變，尤其是海鮮舫黃金時期的發展盛況。
香港仔稱得上是港島南區最興旺的地方，但在繁忙的馬路上，竟然座落了一間小街廟，內裡神祇受到不少善信供奉。面對發展商的清拆，為何這座海王大神廟能獨善其身，得以倖免﹖此外，美妮還到訪香港仔的廟宇集中地，逐一參觀供奉北帝、關帝、榕樹公公及五華師母的廟宇。
位於鴨脷洲的洪聖古廟已逾二百年歷史，古廟前兩條龍柱的設立，原來與對面的舊香港仔警署有莫大關係。當地老街坊解釋舊警署建築物遠看像一排虎牙，充滿煞氣，居民於是矗立龍柱抵擋這頭「下山虎」。那麼古廟後的「風水蛋」，相傳又有甚麼作用﹖
鴨脷洲過住工業興盛，有麵線廠、船廠等，卻因歲月變遷而日漸式微，但當中的人情味一直常在，從未變改。美妮跟一眾老街坊聚首一堂，一邊吃著懷舊小食，一邊暢談種種舊事。另外，已上岸生活的舊漁民還會分享昔日的漁船種類、水上生活與習俗。期間談到黃金於「水上話」中被喚倉底石，是何緣故？
