Actor David Byrd is best remembered for his recurring portrayal of the staunch copy editor Vernon Bales on the sitcom Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman. He was also known for Tango & Cash (1989), Lost Highway (1997) and The Hudsucker Proxy (1994).
