Questa volta, i giovani Goku e Crilin si stanno allenando sotto la guida del Maestro Muten, per partecipare ad un Torneo Mondiale d'Arti Marziali che si terrà nel paese di Miifan. L'imperatore del luogo, Jiaozi, sta cercando di ritrovare la sua promessa sposa "Ran Ran" (Lan Lan nel doppiaggio italiano), scomparsa misteriosamente. In quel mentre l'Eremita della Gru, ministro dell'imperatore, avendo fatto costruire al suo servo Pilaf un Dragon Radar, ha preso l'arnese ed ora lo sta usando per localizzare le sfere del drago; l'Eremita e suo fratello, il mercenario Tao Bai Bai, sostengono che useranno il desiderio di Shenron per ritrovare "Ran Ran", ma in realtà stanno pianificando di uccidere Jiaozi con l'aiuto di Tenshinhan ed impossessarsi di tutto il paese.

亀仙人のもとで修行をしていた悟空とクリリンは、力試しのために武術大会の開かれるミーファン帝国へと向かう。しかしミーファン帝国では、己の欲望のため、大臣の鶴仙人がドラゴンボールを集めていた。そんな中、悟空たちはドラゴンボールを持つウパとボラに出会う。そのボラとともに悟空たちは武術大会に出場するが、試合中ボラが桃白白に殺されてしまう。怒った悟空は桃白白に向かっていくが！？

Cette fois, les jeunes Goku et Krillin s'entraînent sous la direction de Tortue Génial, pour participer à un tournoi mondial d'arts martiaux qui se tiendra dans le pays de Miifan. L'empereur local, Jiaozi, tente de retrouver sa fiancée « Lan Lan », qui a mystérieusement disparu. Pendant ce temps, l'Ermite de la Grue, ministre de l'empereur, avec son serviteur Pilaf, s'est emparé du radar à Dragon Ball et l'utilise désormais pour localiser les boules du dragon ; l'Ermite et son frère, le mercenaire Tao Pai Pai, prétendent qu'ils utiliseront le souhait de Shenron pour retrouver « Pan Pan », mais en réalité ils envisagent de tuer Jiaozi avec l'aide de Tenshinhan et de s'emparer du pays tout entier.

Son-Goku nimmt zum ersten Mal an einem Kampfsport-Turnier teil. Dabei kommen er und seine Freunde einer hinterhältigen Verschwörung auf die Spur. (Text: RTL II)

É realizado um torneio de artes marciais onde Son Goku e os seus amigos se reunem. Lá conhecem Bora, chefe índio da aldeia, o lutador de artes marciais Tenshinhan e Chaoz, como monarca. Lá descobrirão muitas mentiras e tramas nas quais o Corvo Genial e Tao Pai Pai estarão envolvidos.

Another retelling of the Dragon Ball story. This time, young Son Goku (Dragon Ball) and young Kuririn are training with Muten Roshi for a World Martial Arts Tournament to be held in the country of Mifan. The Emperor of Mifan, Chaozu, is trying to find his lost "Ran Ran." "Minister" Master Shen has Emperor Pilaf work on a Dragon Radar, takes it from him, and is using it to locate the Dragon Balls. Shen and his brother, Taopaipai claim that they'll use the wish from Shenlong to locate Ran Ran, but are actually planning, with Tenshinhan's help, to kill Chiaotzu and take over the country. General Blue announces that Ran Ran is being held in Shen's room, and is killed by Tao for it. Bora and Upa have located the final Dragon Ball and they take it to Mifan to use it to demand that Mifan's soldiers be forced to leave the land near Korin Tower.
