Akuma-Kun [Franchise]

Akuma-kun (悪魔くん, "Demon-kun") is a manga series written and illustrated by Shigeru Mizuki. Several versions of the manga exist, one of which was adapted into a live-action TV show, and another into an anime television series. In addition, two movies were spawned from the anime TV series: Akuma-kun: The Movie released in 1989 and Akuma-kun: Yōkoso Akuma Land e!! released in 1990. An original net anime series has been announced with Toei Animation and director Junichi Sato returning from the previous series. Sato will serve as the chief director with Fumitoshi Oizaki serving as the series director. Hiroshi Ōnogi will oversee the scripts. The series is set to be released worldwide on Netflix in Fall 2023.

Hikaru no Go [Anime Franchise]

Hikaru no Go (ヒカルの碁, lit. Hikaru's Go) is a Japanese manga series based on the board game Go, written by Yumi Hotta and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The production of the series' Go games was supervised by Go professional Yukari Umezawa. It was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1998 to 2003, with its chapters collected into 23 tankōbon volumes. The story follows Hikaru, who discovers a Go board in his grandfather's attic one day. The object turns out to be haunted by a ghost named Sai, the emperor's former Go teacher in the Heian era. Sai finds himself trapped in Hikaru's mind and tells him which moves to play against opponents, astonishing onlookers with the boy's apparent level of skill at the game.

Open Water [Saga]

Open Water is a 2003 psychological horror film loosely based on the true story of an American couple, Tom and Eileen Lonergan, who, in 1998, went out with a scuba diving group, Outer Edge Dive Company, on the Great Barrier Reef, and were accidentally left behind as the crew failed to take an accurate headcount. Two in-name only sequels were made; the first In 2006, entitled Adrift; the second in 2017, entitled Cage Dive, which follows the first film's plot of being a survival shark film, again remains unrelated in continuity.
