Here we meet Leandro, a fisherman who leads an honest life until the day he kills a man who abuses his daughter. Forced to flee, he wanders through the fields until he is taken in by João Senteiro, the old leader of a gang of thieves. Leandro joins the group and tries to raise money to flee to Brazil. But when the region's Administrator offers a reward for capturing the gang, Leandro's sense of justice is once again put to the test.

Contado por Mulheres é a nova aposta audiovisual da Ukbar Filmes e da RTP1, em coprodução com a Krakow Film Klaster (Polónia). Dez telefilmes que chegam ao horário nobre da RTP1 no último trimestre de 2021. Rodados entre abril e agosto deste ano em diversos locais da região Centro, com o apoio das respetivas Câmaras Municipais e candidato ao Fundo do Turismo e do Cinema. Neste projeto desafiámos dez realizadoras de várias gerações, que possuem um forte sentido narrativo, com uma grande experiência ora na representação ora na publicidade, e que têm merecido grande reconhecimento a nível nacional e internacional em várias áreas. Uma ação inédita no audiovisual português.
