Zoids

In the far reaches of the milkyway, on a planet called Zi, there are powerful machines with superior fighting skills called Zoids. The actual Zoids series is broken down into five mini-series. The five series names are in order of time: Chaotic Century, Guardian Force, New Century Zero, Fuzors, and Genesis. The first part take place during the war between the two greatest nations on Zi: the Empire and the Republic. Into this chaos enters three different yet connected lives: Van Flyheight, a young Republican who stumbles upon some ancient ruins; Zeek, an Organoid in the ruins who has the capacity to revive and mazimize the potential of Zoids; and Fiona, an ancient Zoidian awakened from her sleep and who now accompanies Van on his journey into destiny. With the help of the kooky Dr. D, the mercenary Irvine, and the independent Moonbay among others, Van inadvertently finds himself on a course to stop the war before it

גיבורי הסדרה הם לוחמים ביו מכניים בכוכב הלכת זי הקרואים זוידס. הם נשלטים על ידי טייסים אנושיים בזמן מלחמת האזרחים מול שלטון הג'וליס. כאשר אחד מגיבורינו, ואן, נחטף על ידי שודד ובחדר המסתור בו הוא נכלא הוא מוצא 2 מיכלים. מהמיכל הראשון יוצא דרקון מוזר שבני זוידס מכנים בשם זיק. הדרקון זיק מחזיר לחיים מגן כחול עתיק המקנה לו כוחות של טייס. במיכל השני מוצא ואן את פיונה, נערה מיסתורית. יחד, הם יוצאים לגלות פרטים אודות עברה של פיונה, פוגשים חברים נוספים ונקלעים לצרות רבות במלחמה שאותה הם מנסים לעצור.

Zoids è una serie anime composta da cinque stagioni per un totale di 169 episodi incentrata su macchine da combattimento (gli Zoids appunto) realizzate con fattezze animalesche pilotate da esseri umani. Il termine Zoids deriva dall'unione di due parole: ZOic e AndroIDS. L'ispirazione di questo anime proviene dai giocattoli prodotti dalla Tomy nel 1983. In Italia sono state tradotte solo le prime tre stagioni. Le prime due stagioni "Chaotic Century" e "Guardian Force" sono incentrate sulle avventure e la crescita di Van un giovane pilota di Zoids coinvolto nella guerra tra impero e repubblica. La terza serie "New Century Zero" ha come protagonista Bit un pilota che compete in tornei di lotta tra Zoids.

1981년 완구회사 토미에서 만들어낸 세기의 히트작 '조이드'를 소재로 만들어진 무수한 머천다이징 상품 가운데 하나. 외견상 지구와 비슷하지만 금속 원소가 많아 특이한 금속 생명체가 진화하게 된 가상의 행성 ZI에서 벌어지는 전쟁을 그리고 있다. 조이드는 간단한 태엽 장치와 절묘하게 맞물려진 기어에 의해 스스로 움직일 수 있는 반자동 완구로써, 처음 세상에 발표되었을 때는 이름도 메칸보니카라는 것이었고 외형도 촌스러워 지금과는 상당한 차이를 보인다. 그러나 1982년 미국에서 zoids라는 이름으로 인기를 끌고 자동으로 움직일 수 있게끔 모터를 달게 되자 비로서 일본 내에서도 인기를 얻게 된다. 현재 조이드 스토리의 큰 축을 이루는 헤릭 공화국 vs 가이로스 제국의 구도도 이때 만들어졌다. 완구 조이드가 인기를 끌게 되면서 숱한 관련 상품들이 쏟아져나왔는데, 만화와 애니메이션, 게임으로 나오는 것은 물론 영화로까지 제작되었다고 하니 가히 그 인기를 짐작할 만 하다. 그러나 1980년대 후반으로 들어서면서 비디오 시장이 커짐에 따라 점차 자동 완구 시장은 축소되어가고, 1990년대 초반 일본에서 최강의 조이드 킹고쥬라스가 발매된 것에 이어 최후의 조이드 데스캣이 발매됨으로 해서 조이드 시리즈는 끝나게 된다. 하지만 2000년대 복고 열풍이 불면서 아련한 옛 향수를 그리워 하는 올드팬들에 의해 조이드는 결국 부활하였고, 국내에서도 아카데미 과학사가 수입해 들여와 판매하고 있다.

En los confines de la vía láctea, en un planeta llamado Zi, hay poderosas máquinas con habilidades de lucha superiores llamadas Zoids. La serie Zoids real se divide en cinco miniseries. Los nombres de las cinco series están en orden de tiempo: Chaotic Century, Guardian Force, New Century Zero, Fuzors y Genesis. La primera parte tiene lugar durante la guerra entre las dos naciones más grandes de Zi: el Imperio y la República.
