Greiger begreift nun, dass der Feuerrote Teufel ihn und auch Max dafür benutz hat, um an Jack heranzukommen. Jack wird währenddessen in ein unterirdisches Gewölbe gelockt, wo bereits Diener des Feuerroten Teufels auf ihn warten. In einem rituellen Duell wird darüber entschieden, ob Jack würdig ist, die Kraft des Feuerroten Teufels zu bekommen.
Jack arrives at an abandoned village where he encounters a strange Familiar who reveals himself to be the Crimson Devil's servant, who offers him a chance to gain great power. Meanwhile, Greiger comes to a conclusion that the actions of him and Max were those of the Crimson Devil. Jack, seemingly in a trance, goes into a temple that Greiger had built, leading him to where the Familiar challenges him to a duel. Yusei and company try to follow but are stopped from interfering by the Familiar, who reveals that if Jack loses, his body will become a host to the Crimson Devil, and cuts them off from Jack by creating a very narrow platform, and seals off the only exit. The Familiar announces that he, Greiger, and Max will all become sacrifices to the Crimson Devil. Jack struggles against the Familiar's Yomi deck, which punishes power play. It is soon revealed that the Crimson Devil is actually an Earthbound Immortal known as Scar-Red Nova, and a geoglyph in the shape of a serpent forms on the surface (Greiger's younger sister, Annie is trapped in this geoglyph), and also in the sky.
Alors que Jack venait de partir, il est défié par Familier - le servant du Diable Cramoisi - quand il arrive à un village, l'obligeant à revenir. Pendant ce temps, Greiger et Yusei discutent du duel contre Jack où divers points restent confus comme le deck utilisé par Max. Jack arrive et pénètre dans le temple pour rencontrer Familier. Celui-ci promet la puissance à Jack qu'à la seule condition qu'il gagne le duel. Jack accepte mais sous hypnose et le duel commence. Yusei et les autres arrivent mais ne peuvent avancer davantage car le serviteur les repousse. Ce dernier met Jack en très grande difficulté en contrant ses attaques et en lui infligeant des dommages sans porter une seule attaque mais par des effets comme lors du duel contre Max. Au cours du duel, Yusei et les autres découvrent que le Diable Cramoisi les a manipulé pour s'emparer du corps de Jack, condition possible que si ce dernier perd son duel. Il est également révélé que le Diable Cramoisi est en fait un Esprit de la Terre Immortel - Nova Rouge - probablement très puissant puisque les Pactisants des Ténèbres n'ont pas pu l'utiliser. Un géoglyphe se forme alors à la surface.

そんなある日、ジャックは紅蓮の悪魔に仕えているしもべと出会う。紅蓮の悪魔は、何でも欲するものを与えてくれるという。ジャックは、何者をも打ち破る圧倒的な力を欲していた。
そしてそれを得るには、しもべとデュエルしなければいけないと言われ・・・・・・。
