Happily married couple Kelli and Oliver Weston are living the old adage "marry your spouse, marry their family" as they spend their weekends visiting their respective in-laws and learning to maneuver through the idiosyncrasies that make up every family. With each visit, Kelli and Oliver do what they can to keep the things on an even keel despite their very different backgrounds. In the premiere episode, Oliver installs a nanny-cam at his home so he can keep an eye on the babysitter while he takes Kelli for a night out. But when the babysitter has a visitor, suddenly it's Louis and Jason who are glued to the screen. Meanwhile, Ricky thinks Kelli is abusing her children after she sees a drawing her granddaughter made.
It's Dani's birthday, and everyone thinks Oliver is going to ruin it because he always ruins birthdays. Kelli buys Dani a psychic visit as a present. And Shawni (recurring guest star Collette Wolfe) becomes convinced she is adopted.

Gil and Jan are bitter that Louis and Ricky excluded them at their country club during their kids' wedding. Dani and Blake start dating again. And Claire pesters Shawni about the time she and Jason slept together.
