Aufgrund eines Formfehlers müssen Jerry und sein Bruder Kelbo ihre Zaubererprüfung wiederholen. Dabei stellt sich heraus, dass sie noch eine Schwester haben, die auch daran teilnehmen muss sonst verlieren alle Russos ihre Zauberkraft. Doch Tante Megan ist seit langen Jahren sauer auf ihre Brüder weil Jerry damals seine Zauberkraft Kelbo übergeben hat und will der Familie nicht helfen. Da sich die Brüder bei ihrer Schwester nicht entschuldigen wollen, liegt es an den Kindern, sich was einfallen zu lassen.
Jerry and his siblings, Kelbo and Megan (Jerry revealed to the kids they have an aunt), need to retake the Wizard test that, in their teen years, determined who got to keep their powers. When Alex, Justin and Max see how competitive the contest gets, they realize the same test could eventually tear their family apart as well.

Jerry, Kelbo e Megan, una sorella nascosta, devono rifare la sfida di magia per decidere il mago di famiglia. Trovata Megan, lei dice che non ha intenzione di rifare la sfida, perché quando Jerry ha rinunciato ai suoi poteri li ha ceduti a Kelbo e non a lei, e se tutti e tre non rifaranno la sfida l'intera famiglia Russo perderà i suoi poteri. Vedendo quanto sono uniti, il membro della commissione gli lascia tenere i poteri.
Jerry y sus hermanos, Kelbo y Megan (Jerry les reveló a los niños que tienen una tía), deben repetir la prueba de Magos que, en su adolescencia, determinó quién tenía que conservar sus poderes. Cuando Alex, Justin y Max ven lo competitivo que se vuelve el concurso, se dan cuenta de que la misma prueba también podría separar a su familia.
Rodinu Russoových navštíví strýček Kelbo, který nese špatnou zprávu. Od kouzelnické komise totiž obdržel dopis, ve kterém stojí, že on, Jerry a jejich sestra Megan musí z formálních důvodů podstoupit kouzelnické zkoušky. Pokud tak neučiní celá rodina Russoových ztratí své kouzelnické schopnosti. Navíc nikdo neví, kde Megan žije, protože s ni od kouzelnických zkoušek nepromluvili.
