Lance Hamilton ist ein erfolgreicher Immobilienmakler von Anfang Dreißig, der eines Tages spurlos verschwindet - kurz nachdem er ein Haus präsentiert hat. Als Jack und seine Leute zu ermitteln beginnen, kommen sie dahinter, dass Hamilton mehrere Geschäfte mit einem ortsansässigen Gangster abgeschlossen hatte. Sie vermuten zunächst, dass er in dunkle Machenschaften verwickelt war. Doch dann finden sie heraus, dass er im Gegenteil versucht hatte, für das Gute zu kämpfen ...

Lance Hamilton is a successful real estate agent in his early thirties who disappears one day after showing a house. When the team gets involved, they soon realise that Lance had more than one dealing with a local hood, Jimmy 'The Tooth' Fusco, and begin to suspect that Lance may not have been the good guy everyone thought he was. After tracking down the woman Lance had recently been spotted kissing in his office, the team needs to revise their opinion, knowing now that Lance is one of the good guys, but wondering if he's died for his beliefs.

Le indagini portano alla luce dei contatti che la vittima aveva con il boss locale, un tale Jimmy Fusco, e la squadra comincia a pensare che Lance non sia poi quel bravo ragazzo che tutti credono. Tuttavia ulteriori ricerche portano gli agenti a interrogare una donna legata a Lance e si scopre che in realtà Hamilton è una persona onesta e che forse è stato eliminato proprio per la sua integrità.
