Rachel Bilson and Melinda Clarke are joined by the original OC Production Designer, Thomas Fichter remotely today as they discuss, Season 3, Episode 11 “The Safe Harbor” aka Free Marissa! Thomas discusses what a Production Designer job entails and some of his favorite set builds on The O.C., including the Cohen house and the Bait Shop. He also discusses other shows he has worked on including Rachel’s favorite, Beverly Hills 90210. Speaking of 90210 the trio discusses the similarities between the Donna Martin Graduates episode and the Free Marissa episode on The O.C. The Safe Harbor Synopsis: Ryan, Seth, and Summer plot to get Marissa back into Harbor School so they can be all together for the rest of the senior year. Johnny asks Marissa to attend a social function to celebrate his successful knee surgery. Also, Julie continues to have a meeting of minds with Dr. Neil Roberts.
