Actor Walter Sedlmayr was considered a model Bavarian. In 1990 he was found murdered in his Munich apartment. The traces lead to the gay and red light scene. While the police search for the killer, the press pounces on every detail of his hidden double life and outs him as gay. The complete dismantling of the former acting idol follows. From the point of view of the investigator at the time and Munich's best-known gossip reporter Michael Graeter, the documentary tells the exciting investigations into the Sedlmayr murder case in two episodes and explores the inner turmoil of a man who had to play hide-and-seek all his life.
