Veronica's Silent Partner

Zwischen Josh und der neuen, stillen Teilhaberin von Ronnie bahnt sich etwas an. Offensichtlich steht die ältere Dame auf den jungen und wohlerzogenen Mann. Ronnie sieht dies nicht gerade mit Begeisterung, da sie Sorge hat, dass sich eine Beziehungskrise der beiden eventuell negativ auf ihr geschäftliches Verhältnis zu Millicent auswirken könnte. Josh versucht, sie zu beruhigen, da er davon ausgeht, dass zwischen Millicent und ihm absolut nichts im Busch ist. Umso entgeisterter ist er, als er feststellen muss, dass Millicent tatsächlich mehr von ihm will, als nur eine normale Freundschaft. Als er ihre Werbungsversuche ablehnt, schließt sie daraus, dass er schwul sei. Das kann Josh natürlich nicht auf sich sitzen lassen, und er lässt sich auf eine leidenschaftliche Nacht mit Millicent ein. Das Ganze hat böse Folgen: Millicent haucht dabei ihr Leben aus, und ihr durchgeknaller Sohn Hunter erbt die Anteile an 'Veronica's Closet'...

Millicent agrees to go with Josh to an Amish quilt festival after everyone else turns him down. Olive is upset that Veronica's Closet's softball team is men only. Pat allows Olive, Pepper and Virginia to sign up anyway, which pleases Olive, but not Perry. Ronnie flips her lid when Josh tells her that he and Millicent have been spending an awful lot of time together. Ronnie is left worried that Millicent could cancel their deal if her relationship with Josh doesn't work out. Josh insists he doesn't even have a relationship, and the two are just good friends. Perry is surprised when Pepper and Virginia turn out to be good players. And then there's Olive, who sucks. To compound that problem, while at the plate, Olive accidentally flings a bat at Perry. Josh discovers Millicent wants from him what Ronnie thought she wanted from him. When Josh turns Millicent down, she thinks he's - surprise, surprise - gay. To show her he isn't, Josh has sex with her four times, and is so good in the sack
