Miranda discovers an inspiring community garden in Knowle West and also visits city gardens in Bristol and Gloucester where she hopes to catch a glimpse of some urban badgers. Mike Dilger finds that the Avon New Cut, a forgotten Bristolian backwater largely ignored by the hundreds of daily commuters is also a wildlife haven. And Alastair McKee discovers that Swindon is home to some fantastic hidden wildlife gems.

David goes on the trail of hedgehogs and badgers in Warrington and finds a colony of birds with an unusual nesting site in the middle of town. Rani Price concentrates on flowers, insects, birds and squirrels as she tries her hand at wildlife photography in her home city of Liverpool.
