Geoffrey has just found out his wife has been cheating on him, so his friend Mick convinces him to accompany him to the season opening of Barnsley Football Club.
Geoffrey is feeling down now his wife has gone for good and living in India. Mick Smith and Skint Flint help take his mind off things with a spot of Fishing.
Mick and the gang are on the run from Jack and Jill, two Zombies who have escaped from Barnsley Zoo. Meanwhile Colin Wood gets himself a girlfriend.
Olivia Jenkins leaves home after going Carol singing at the Smiths house and everyone telling her "you don't live here". Rosie and Mick treat their children to some wonderful presents on Christmas Day.
Slasher Jenkins escapes from Donny Prison and ends up gate crashing his brother-in-laws birthday party. Patch gets a 50th birthday he will never forget in a hurry!
After the fire in the pub, Mick blackmails local taxi driver Patch Thatch into giving him 10 free taxi rides, since Patch was the one who started the fire by accident. Mick then comes up with a plan to frame Penelope Bottomley for starting the fire and gets his wife Rosie, next door neighbour Geoffrey, and Penelope's twin sister Rebecca, to go along with it.
Geoffrey and Skint Flint go for a round of golf while Rosie and Rebecca trick Penelope into giving them a false alibi, not realising she is being framed for the fire. Later the Police arrest Penelope for setting fire to the pub. Local con Slasher Jenkins is still on the run from the law after he escaped from Donny Prison and Dada the gorilla is out to cause more trouble.
Colin Wood gets himself a girlfriend, who tells him how to run the bar - stop Mick and his mates from having any drinks on credit. Patch is in trouble after his Uncle Tom checks the books and sees the Taxi business is losing money thanks to Mick. Skint Flint starts dating Mick's sister who lives in Blackpool and turns out to be a man-eater.
Patch is given extra work by his uncle and takes on a job where he delivers a coffin to the graveyard only to find Mick come back from the dead.
Mick finally gets his first job thanks to Tom Thatch. Patch isn't very happy when he finds out Mick is working for him and washing his taxi.
After The Angel pub closes for good, Mick takes up a new hobby and goes camping with Skint Flint and Patch Thatch. Things go wrong when Patch eat some magic mushrooms and meets a talking rabbit called Benny.
Two neighbours show us how society live in the north of England, one family is posh and the other is common as muck.
