A short series produced by M.J. Winkler Studios under the leadership of Charles Mintz for RKO Pictures, Toby the Pup was all but a copy of Fleischer's Bimbo made by ex-Flescher animators Sid Marcus and Dick Huemer. The show lasted less than a year before RKO scrapped the project in favor of Van Beuren Studios.
