Thomas und Percy sind in heller Vorfreude. Mister Bubbles soll mit seinen riesengroßen Luftballons auf der Insel auftreten und die beiden sollen die Ballons vom Hafen zum Festplatz bringen. Thomas schlägt vor, die Strecke durch den Wald zu nehmen, aber Percy bevorzugt die Küstenstrecke. Obwohl Thomas das für falsch hält, weil es auf der Küstenstrecke oft stürmisch ist, stimmt er Percy zu.
Thomas and Percy are chosen to deliver a giant balloon. The wind on the coast track whips the balloon into the sky. Thomas and Percy wait for the balloon, but Gordon tells them it will not fly back, so the engines have to find another way of replacing it.
