A newspaper announces that Ivan Awfulitch, the famous ambassador, is due to have a barbecue with local resident Wally Walrus. Unfortunately, while Wally is preparing the barbecue, the scent of the steaks he is cooking attracts an unwelcome guest in the form of Woody Woodpecker. He steals some of the food through a knothole in the fence then uses a bow and arrow to get the rest. Wally throws him out but when Woody hears of the visitor he is expecting, he dresses as Awfulitch himself and finally gets the remainder of Wally's food.
Un journal annonce qu’Ivan Awfulitch, le célèbre ambassadeur, doit faire un barbecue avec Wally Walrus, un résident local. Malheureusement, pendant que Wally prépare le barbecue, l’odeur des steaks qu’il cuisine attire un invité indésirable sous la forme de Woody Woodpecker. Il vole une partie de la nourriture à travers un trou de nœud dans la clôture, puis utilise un arc et des flèches pour obtenir le reste. Wally le jette dehors, mais quand Woody entend parler du visiteur qu’il attend, il s’habille lui-même en Awfulitch et obtient finalement le reste de la nourriture de Wally.
