미정은 자신의 주변에 일어났던 사고들이 그저 우연일거라 생각했다. 같은 학교 남학생들의 죽음이 반복되기 전까지는. 미정이 '마녀'라는 소문이 학교에 전염병처럼 돌기 시작하자 죄책감을 견디다 못한 미정은 끝내 학교를 떠나기로 결심한다.
Mi-jung, who couldn't stand the rumour of her being a witch and the boys from the same school getting hurt and dying, drops out of school. But the same rumour spreads in her village, leaving her no choice but to hide from everyone. Her father decides to take her to Seoul, but an unfortunate accident kills her father as well.
