SoulAnubis erkennt das Kreuz, welches Kyosuke um den Hals trägt und verwandelt sich in Maya. Da sie ein künstlicher Mutant ist, der aus vielen Flickern besteht, versucht sie Kyosukes Kampfwillen zu brechen. So lässt sich Kyosuke von Maya verprügeln und sieht das als seine Strafe an, dass er sie damals nicht retten konnte. Erst als ein seltsamer bandagierter Mann auf der Bildfläche erscheint, setzt Kyosuke zum Gegenschlag gegen Maya an. Doch Shiro hat da auch noch ein Wörtchen mitzureden, zumal seine einstige Freundin Suki ebenfalls als Flicker in SoulAnubis gebannt ist.
Kyosuke arrives to help Nogumi and when he did the SoulAnubis sees his cross and returns back to his human form. Kyosuke recognizes the face and it was Maya. Then Yui explains that she combined flickers to create this new beast including Shiro's girlfriend Suki. Meanwhile, Richard Vincent spots Nogumi and starts to heal her.
