Thank God, It's Doomsday

Homer propadl panice a čte všechny knihy o zkáze světa. A panika se ještě stupňuje, když zjistí že den D nastane 18. května - tedy přesně za týden. Takže za týden bude konec světa. Ovšem když Homer bude lidstvo varovat třeba se dostane do nebe...

Ein Besuch beim Friseur endet mit einem fürchterlichen Schnitt für Bart und Lisa. Im Einkaufszentrum sind sie daraufhin vielen peinlichen Blicken ausgesetzt. Zum Trost schleicht sich Homer mit den beiden ins Kino, aber die Bilder der Apokalypse wirken auf Homer so verstörend, dass er das Ende der Welt nahe sieht. Seine messianische Mission stößt allerdings auf Ablehnung - er steht allein da. Als dann die Welt tatsächlich untergeht, muss er allein in den Himmel fahren...

Bart and Lisa want to start getting their hair cut at the mall. They go to the mall with Homer and while getting their haircut they get into a fight, which results in them each getting really bad haircuts. Out in the mall they are spotted by fellow school students who have cameras in hand. They find Homer and go on the run; they sneak into the back entrance of a movie theater and see the film "Left Below," which is a movie about the apocalypse. The images in the movie are disturbing to Homer, who fears the worst. Marge assures him that there needs to be some ominous signs before the rapture will come. When Homer is out driving, he sees what he believes to be the signs. Homer gathers some books on the subject and he calculates that the "rapture is nigh" at 3:15 PM on May 18th, seven days from now. He starts to spread the word and tells everyone on television a passage from Revelations 6:13 that says before the rapture "the stars will fall to Earth." At the Springfield Stadium, there is a celebrity filled blimp accident that causes the stars on board to fall to the Earth and Homer gains instant credibility. He gets a bus full of people to join him at Springfield Mesa. When the appointed time comes and goes, Homer loses credibility and everyone return back to their normal lives. Homer later realizes that he made a mistake in his calculation and the new time is only 30 minutes away. When no one in his family will join him Homer goes to the Mesa on his own. The rapture comes and Homer goes to heaven, but despite all that heaven has to offer, Homer needs his family. He gets an audience with God, but when God won't grant his request to have his family join him; Homer begins raising hell in heaven. To put a stop to it, God agrees to turn back time and put off the rapture.

Homer vaikuttuu näkemästään elokuvasta ja alkaa uskoa, että maailmanloppu lähestyy. Hän yrittää turhaan saada muut vakuuttuneiksi ennustuksestaan, kunnes outo ennusmerkki saa kaupunkilaiset pelon valtaan.

Les enfants se rendent au nouveau salon de coiffure pour enfants. Là-bas, Bart et Lisa se chamaillent et se coupent mutuellement les cheveux à coups de tondeuse. Quand ils sortent et se rendent compte du résultat catastrophique de leur coiffure, ils tombent nez-à-nez avec les élèves de la classe qui en profitent pour prendre des photos. Pour leur échapper, ils se réfugient dans une salle de cinéma avec Homer qu'ils ont rencontrer sur leur chemin. Le film, qui parle de l'apocalypse, marque tout particulièrement Homer. Il va se plonger sur le sujet, et après avoir fait des calculs, il trouve que la fin du monde va avoir lieu dans à peine une semaine ! Personne ne le croit jusqu'à ce qu'un dirigeable rempli de célébrités s'écrase, comme il l'avait prédit. Il annonce alors aux quelques personnes qui sont prêtes à le suivre que s'ils veulent avoir une chance d'entrer au Paradis, il faut qu'ils se rendent en haut du plateau de Springfield...

Per Bart e Lisa è il giorno del taglio dei capelli, così Homer li accompagna al centro commerciale dove guardano un film sull'Apocalisse. Homer resta traumatizzato e calcola, influenzando l'intera città, che resta una settimana al giorno del giudizio, ma si sbaglia e viene accusato di essere un visionario.

Bart e Lisa querem começar a cortar o cabelo no centro comercial. Homer vai com eles e acaba por ver um filme sobre o apocalipse que o deixa bastante perturbado. Uma vez que acredita que o fim do mundo está próximo, Homer faz uma pesquisa e calcula que o prazo termina em sete dias. Devido a uma série de coincidências, a teoria de Homer começa a ganhar adeptos mas depois das suas profecias falharem deixam de acreditar nele. No final, Homer acaba por ir para o céu e como Deus não quer responder ao seu apelo para se juntar à família, Homer transforma o céu num inferno. Para o deter, Deus decide recuar no tempo para evitar que o "incidente" se repita.

Но никто не верит ему, до тех пор, пока он не предсказывает, что "звезды упадут на Землю" и в это время на город падает дирижабль со звездами-знаменитостями. У Гомера появляются последователи, которые бросают его, когда конца света не наступает

Ciertas casualidades hacen que Homero crea que se acerca el fin del mundo. Durante su obsesión con el tema, con unos descabellados cálculos "profetiza" el momento exacto para el Apocalipsis e intenta ganarse la entrada al Cielo advirtiendo a la gente de lo que, según él, se avecina. Sin embargo, cuando llega el momento y no ocurre nada, Homero pierde toda credibilidad como profeta y nadie le hace caso cuando, tras descubrir que se equivocó en los cálculos de la primera, "profetiza" una nueva fecha que esta vez resulta ser correcta... o no.

Homer é declarado profeta após convencer toda a cidade que o fim do mundo está próximo.

Egy film a mennybemenetelről meggyőzi Homert arról, hogy közeleg a világvége. Ráveszi a springfieldieket, hogy osztozzanak a hitében, de csak borzasztó nagyot csalódnak, amikor a várt óra eljön, és semmi sem történik.
