Our series kicks off with the planning and big night of Janet's birthday party. The housewives are determined to start afresh and put last year's tensions behind them. Things are more or less going to plan when two newcomers enter the picture: art lover Gamble and property developer Pettifleur. It's quickly clear these newbies have pluck and guts but in taking on our housewives, they're gonna need it!
Gamble hosts her first event for the ladies: a Murder Mystery Party. Despite the 'witches' theme it's a fun, glamorous night which culminates in a big announcement from Gamble. But will her bubble be burst by 'revelations' from Janet and Chyka the next day? Standby for fallout which may prove explosive.
Uncomfortable home truths are exchanged as the wives and various family members reunite. Bride to be Gamble is torn, should she invite Pettifleur to her wedding even though they’re at logger heads? Chewing it over with family, the ever supportive Rick encourages her to do the right thing while his son Luke has other ideas leaving Gamble as confused as ever. At the same time Pettifleur’s in damage control but not over Gamble. She and her sister Gillian were once close but they’ve drifted apart … so time to address their issues. Sadly things don’t really go to plan. And speaking of family planning, Jackie’s feeling the pressure to start one after a recent visit from her Mum and decides to confide her fears about motherhood to close pal Chyka. Questions of motherhood are at the forefront for Janet as well. When she separated from Brian, she distanced herself from his family and that included stepdaughter Fiora. When the two finally reunite, emotions are high and Fiora doesn’t hold back telling Janet what she thinks of the separation. Finally Gamble is having the ladies over for a cocktail party where she plans to issue the wedding invitations. It’s not what you’d call a sedate gathering as simmering tensions surface but when Pettifleur questions her wedding invitation all hell breaks loose.
Bitter sweet life lessons with family. While the weather held for Gamble and Rick’s beach ceremony, the heavens finally open all over the reception amid much scrambling for cover and concern for their teetering multi-tiered cake. The new Mr and Mrs Wolfe aren’t the only couple of interest given Janet’s ex, Brian is working the crowd. Gina’s early departure the night before has some of the wives in full on detective mode but when Chyka and Janet chose to question her about it they’re quickly cut down by a Gina in fighting form. Family is the priority back in Melbourne: Susie takes her teenager Rupert for a driving lesson and Chessie’s made a life changing decision that doesn’t sit well with her Mum and Dad. Gina visits her elderly dad in a nursing home where he’s suffered a recent fall. As for the love lives: Janet’s still keeping her options open meeting up with Christopher again – this time they’re joining Susie and Marcello (who showed interest in Byron) on a double date. Things don’t exactly pan out as expected. Meanwhile Gina’s preparing a family feast for her younger son’s birthday. With Gamble still away on her honeymoon Pettifleur and Lydia are invited to join the celebrations. When talk turns to the Gamble/Gina friendship Gina is quick to deflect the blame.
Lydia’s mum celebrates her 69th birthday, Gina launches ‘Gina’ the perfume and the ladies get together for a final dinner slash showdown. Pettifleur’s feeling a little unloved after Lydia’s outburst at Glasshouse and meets up with her sister Gillian to try and get things back on track. Meanwhile Lydia still wants PF to attend her mum Lina’s 69th birthday party even though some of the other wives aren’t as welcome. Jackie gives Susie an emotionally charged psychic reading focusing on family past, present and future. Gina’s perfume launch is a moment of nervous pride and delight as friends and family immerse themselves in a cloud of her essence. Pettifleur and Gamble have become unexpected allies after a rocky start but Lydia, sensing her alliances are depleted, seeks an audience with Chyka in the hope of righting things between them. Finally, all the ladies reunite for a last dinner at the Waterfront Port Melbourne. But as often happens with the Real Housewives of Melbourne, the night starts off wonderfully then quickly hits the skids.
Gina and Lydia’s friendship has come full circle, with the two growing closer than ever. While Gina is grateful for Lydia’s support throughout a difficult time, it seems the same can’t be said for Gamble, who finds herself increasingly on the outs. Gina hosts a dinner for all the girls, except for Gamble, which prompts Jackie to question if Gina is replacing Gamble with new girl Venus. At dinner, Lydia confronts Jackie about their unresolved issues, and Gina is shocked when a mysterious gift arrives at the table.
We are introduced to new girl Sally, a friend and associate of Janet's. Lydia shares her new cooking class concept with her husband Andrew, and Janet hosts a party at her new man's mansion with all the girls in attendance. It doesn't take long for tensions arise with Gamble's arrival, both confronting Gina and creating an awkward situation for Venus and her husband.
Venus and James are still smarting from Gamble's mockery of their 'lord and lady' titles despite Gina and Lydia's advice to let it go. Chyka invites Janet, Jackie and Sally to her huge country cottage to catch up on the girls' latest antics. Gamble hosts her stepson Luke's 21st fairy themed party where it is revealed that Venus allegedly has some compromising photographs of the girls on her phone.
Sally and Gamble get together over lunch to discuss the mystery surrounding Venus and the photos. Venus advises her younger sister Rebecca that it’s time to tell their father that her wedding is off. Lydia organises a day of truffle hunting in the country, giving Sally the chance to confront Venus about the photos. Meanwhile Janet, Jackie and Gamble chopper off to Levantine Hill Vineyard. The three are determined to get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding Venus, and with Janet’s latest intel, things are set to get interesting.
Venus, Lydia and Gina catch up but it’s the ongoing feud between Lydia and Jackie that dominates the conversation. Unsurprisingly, Jackie has a very different take on things to Lydia and she heads over to Chyka’s place for a chat. After successfully launching her accessories range Sally is now preparing to open her hotel in Bali. When Gamble shares her suspicions that their new house is haunted with Rick and Luke, the boys aren’t so sure. Then, the girls celebrate Jackie’s 37th birthday in style, with the notable exception of Lydia. Jackie takes everyone by surprise by inviting them on an overseas trip, motivating Venus to patch things up with Gamble.
The housewives arrive in beautiful Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, ready to kick up their heels and have some fun, but while six of them are sipping cocktails, Venus is back in Melbourne desperately searching for her misplaced passport. Gina, Lydia and Sally decide to ease into holiday mode and stay by the pool. Feeling adventurous, Jackie, Gamble and Janet go in search of Cabo's best taco. In the evening, the ladies head out for a lovely dinner, but the party atmosphere sours quickly when Jackie confronts Lydia over the so-called rift between her and Janet. All the arguing overshadows Venus' arrival and Gina's treatment of Gamble prompts a clash with Sally.
Venus plans the ultimate fourth birthday party for her youngest daughter, Sophia. Jackie is the proud recipient of a great honour in her hometown of Newcastle. A nervous Gamble rehearses her surprise song for Rick, and Sally drops by for moral support. Sophia’s party enchants even the most hardened housewives, but Gamble’s attempt to compliment Venus backfires in her face.
Excitement is at fever pitch as Jackie, Janet, and Gamble reunite in epic Housewives style. The ladies are still living their best lives- enjoying summer holidays, private jets, and pampering their pooches- but Jackie, now at the end of her eighth round of IVF, has been doing it tough. She's grappling with a recent miscarriage and is desperately hoping a dream she's had about having twins, could come true. Meanwhile, a chance meeting with yoga teacher Cherry and her wine-executive friend, Kyla (aka 'The Champagne Dame')- leads to a tense Housewives lunch, where questions are raised about Kyla's etiquette and her integrity. But it's at a spa event, with new girl Simone, where conflict really erupts- as accusations about her poor fashion choices and a cover-up get as heated as a sauna.
Simmering tensions between Kyla and Janet are put to one side as Jackie confides in the ladies about her recent miscarriage. Concerned about drama at her forthcoming Champagne Masterclass, Kyla invites ex-CNN journalist and friend Anjali along for moral support. ANjali's building a new life in Melbourne as a recently divorced bisexual... but has an annoying habit of name-dropping from her past. Gamble has a new prestige project under way, an exhibition of works by her late artist father- but is she actually dabbling in borderline porn? Jackie has a life-changing secret to share with husband Ben, and a drinking game turns sour at the Masterclass when Gamble accuses Anjali of peddling fake news and Kyla finds herself front and centre of the drama all over again.
Anjali and Gamble patch up their recent clash over a shared experience of losing their fathers... and their somewhat dubious singing careers. Also seeking resolution, Cherry invites frenemies Kyla and Janet shopping, in the hope they can bond over vintage clothes. Meanwhile, haunted by their recent miscarriage, Jackie and Ben attend a scan to see if their twins are in good health, before Jackie pulls best friend Janet aside for an emotional revelation. Tears continue to flow at Anjali's pool party when SImone opens up about her recent heartbreak, and the ladies are finally told Jackie's life-changing news. Celebrations are so raucous, expensive hair and make-up is forgotten and the ladies plunge face-first into the pool. To top it all off, Jackie invites all to a restorative 'babymoon' intended to bring calm ahead of the birth. But, as the ladies jet-off to a luxury location, ongoing personality clashes suggest the trip will bring anything but.
The housewives are settling into a newly-pregnant Jackie's North Queensland 'babymoon' and it's decided new relationships need to be forged. Jackie's especially concerned about an impenetrable threesome; Cherry, Kyla, and Anjali- and decides to split them all up on a drive to the falls. Despite arriving to a scene of spectacular natural beauty, the scene soon becomes ugly as fashion-conscious Simone accuses Cherry of trying to steal her designer, and rumours abound Kyla's not being honest about her past. Team Kyla breaks away to reflect on the accusations, while the others indulge on some good old fashioned... toad racing?! But all bets are off when Kyla claims to have heard the others gossiping about her friends, Jackie storms off and Janet is left to conclude they have a pathological liar in their midst.
After the fireworks of the first 'babymoon' dinner in Far North Queensland, some of the ladies retreat via helicopter to play golf. But they're not out of danger yet, as Simone threatens to cash the golf-buggy in the vicinity of a dozen hungry resident crocs. Back at the hotel, Kyla is still reeling from her clash with Janet, while others seek calm in the sanctity of the spa. Meanwhile, Simone and Cherry's squabble over a fashion designer is still simmering- now with Anjali implicated for her role in the spat. And with Janet resolving to avoid further conflict, and Kyla hell-bent on confronting issues head-on, someone has the spectacular idea of placing all warring factors in the confines of a small boat, miles from the coast. Back in Melbourne, the storm clouds part briefly for a surprise celebration, before another somewhat superficial conflict kicks off- hilariously this time... over the pettiness of their fights
With the launch of her exhibition, Gamble fulfils a lifelong ambition to celebrate her late father's art, but where is Anjali? A naked man whose modesty is protected only by a stuffed bunny rabbit, provides a 'small' distraction. Miraculously, Janet and Kyla seem to be bonding at last, but the jury's out how long it will last. Meanwhile, Anjali's absence is still ruffling feathers, and tempers flare when Gamble reveals the ex-CNN anchor's been accusing the ladies of fake news. An old friend is back to help organise Jackie's baby shower and plans are afoot to reveal the gender of the twins. And after a romantic night out in the city and a successful charity event, Cherry is on a high, but with Anjali's dramas escalating tensions within the group; the mood soon comes back down to earth with a crash.
Anjali's ongoing absence is a concern, and since Gamble's revelation, the ex-CNN anchor's accused them of all 'fake news', the ladies are desperate to discuss her hurtful views, face-to-face. But for once, business trumps conflict; Gamble's busy filming a music video, Jackie's taking head shots for her forthcoming podcast and Janet's gathering everyone to take part in her herbal tea brand's first ever TV commercial. But with the success of the ad ressting on the ladies' somewhat wooden acting skills, she has the unenviable task of loosening them up with nothing stronger than tea on the menu... A crisis meeting between Anjali, Cherry and Kyla leads to the resurfacing of a shocking rumour about Janet, before Anjali makes a bombshell revelation of her own. Meanwhile, Jackie's baby shower goes off with a bang as the gender of her twins is finally revealed by a double cannon-fire.
The dust from Janet and Kyla's clash at Gamble's record launch has yet to settle, with Simone's alleged pot-stirring now in the spotlight too. While it's hoped Jackie's podcast can unfold without drama, Cherry's feeling more protective of her best friend than ever and after a few too many drinks, audience heckles descend into outright confrontation at the bar. With Kyla and Janet facing off yet again and old tensions between Simone and Cherry resurfacing - Jackie is horrified by the lack of positivity on the team. An awkward confrontation at Cherry's 40th follows, leading the yoga teacher to engage in some emergency deep breathing. But while Simone is also grappling with the polarised group dynamics, the real concern is Janet's pointed absence. Could another Housewife soon be departing the group?
Since her no-show at Cherry's 40th, Janet's beef with Kyla has escalated again- this time through heated text messages behind the scenes. Janet's adamant she's been sorely provoked, but nobody's sure exactly who's to blame. Meanwhile Cherry and Simone finally agree on something; Janet's insults are next level. With speculation about a showdown looming, Jackie lets off some steam by pranking husband Ben, Gamble campaigns for a new puppy and Kyla finally gets a chance to tackle her relationship problems at home. But it's back to fighting form for the Finale dinner; Kyla wants an apology... while Janet's not even sure she'll turn up. With cheeky plans to replace her nemesis, Kyla invites a 'suitable substitute' in the form of drag artist Paris- but which queen will reign supreme? All bets are off, as it's Cherry who takes the hot seat, closing this seasons shenanigans with a showdown as characteristically catty as it is comical.
