My dear people, today, I’m in the most unusual place in the entire Egypt. It’s called the Garbage City, and it’s a real neighborhood in the Western Area of Cairo. It started off as a garbage dump that grew into a small settlement that continued to grow, and now it’s a whole city quarter that is full of garbage – but it also has an infrastructure of its own, including cafes, restaurants, schools and hospitals. It’s truly unbelievable! This is Lyadov reporting on How People Live in Egypt.
