People, today I will show you how people live by one of the world’s most breathtakingly beautiful lakes challenged by harsh Siberian winter climate. The lowest temperature in this area can reach -40 F. The ice crust on the lake is five feet thick, but sometimes even thick ice can crack. Well, folks, I spent all day here on Lake Baikal at -4 F, and I thought I could handle more. And so I’m about to dive into Lake Baikal that’s covered by ice. They make special holes like this in the ice, they cut them with a chainsaw so you can dive in.
