Water on Europa

Jason Howell and Scott Wilkinson talk with Kieren McCarthy from The Register about the US giving up control of DNS to ICANN. We're joined by two scientists, William Sparks and Jennifer Wiseman, to talk about the discovery of water on Europa and what this could mean when it comes to finding life on this moon of Jupiter. Next Saturday, October 8th, athletes with assistive technologies will compete against each other at the Cybathlon and Robert Riener, the founder and director, is here to discuss. Four U.S. states filed a lawsuit to stop the U.S. from giving up control of DNS to ICANN. Some see the role American provided as purely administrative. Kieren, Jason and Scott discuss the possible politics in play. Learn how the team uses ultraviolet light and other imagery to find water on Europa. They share how the discovery was made and where this fits into the overall scope of NASA and life in outer space. We learn how Cybathlon athletes with disabilities are using the latest technologies at the intersection of machine and man. We also discuss the future of transhumanism. Ron Richards has a cool tool he uses for web development. Patrick Norton has some advice when it comes to surge protectors. Scott will answer a Call for Help about cutting the cord and over-the-air DVRs
