Shaun's guests tonight include the managing director of Busby's Shoe Kingdom whose prices are literally insane, aging Jack "Tiger" Adams who Micallef exploits for promotional purposes, a tense interview with Tully Blum from Computron Software Solutions and Norman Parker, a historian specialising in 18th century naval battles.Sketches include Knocking on the Doors of Parliament, Larry Wren the show jumping coacd, "Have you been drinking again?", Farmers and Reconciliation, Mr. Dennis teaches remedial English, and Milo Kerrigan speaking on Industrial Relations.
Shaun's guests tonight are: Paul Nolte from ZigZag Direct with a plan to sell cheap encyclopedias; Bob Franklin, to talk about his skills at spontaneity and wit; a woman who gave up her baby at 16; and Bishop Anthony Marsden, commenting on the wrong footage.Sketches include Pharmacy school, Out of Order and the Shaving skit.
With Episode 1 of the Micallef Programme having been hailed as "the right length" by programmers Episode 2 adopts a more conservative approach. Tim Rogers from You Am I chats about his new single, stand up comic Jean Steep does a tight five, and Shaun is abused by a bird. It's nothing you would ask for in a comedy programme and more.
This weeks on the Micallef Program Shaun broadens his range as an entertainer and adds Shakespearian acting, ventriloquism, stunt driving, and feng shui to his already impressively strung bow. The Micallef Programme is Australia's only comedy show to have been mentioned in Parliament. In the kitchens we believe.
During an interview with Miss Murray River, Shaun has a flashback to when he shared a house with the cast of "English Have A Go". Shaun also takes up on a claustrophobic picnic and premieres a new panel show which we guarantee will make all the other panel shows on at the moment look like the same thing only less recently.
The Micallef Programme lifts the lid on harold Holt to see if he's done. And we also serve up a slice of the new UK period drama "Spiffigton Manse". And if that's not enough to sate your ravenous appetitie for sheer entertainment - and we do mean sheer - we present the delightful "Non Sequitur Family Feud" for afters.
The penultimate installment of the Micallef Programme features invisible poodles, identical twins who have never met, and the much vaunted clapperboard from the first episode of Rising Damp. Rarely has a comedy show promised so little. In other moments of hi jinx we visit the morgue, plus Royalty gets some take-away fro lunch, and Shaun conducts a probing hypothetical on drugs & privacy.
The final episode of the Micallef Programme contains all the traditional, cliched elements we've come to expect in the final episodes of comedy series:- a transvestite on ice skates, a man holding a goose, and a firing squad. In this Episode Shaun's eclectic comedy ranges across diverse topics, from cruelty towards children right through to cruelty towards the elderly. Fans of the series can also look forward to being let down and insulted by some coarse, lowbrow material towards the end of the programmer. But there is a poignant farewell, interestingly the programmer identification number is VPCO9882V008.
