故事背景设定于晋末清初，是一位性格豪爽的科尔沁蒙古女子。 她是一个为了别人而宁愿独自忍受困难的人。 苏沫儿在一次赛马比赛中遇到了多尔衮，两人结下了不解之缘。 有一天，当一支军队入侵他们的领土时，她的世界天翻地覆。 Sumoer 失去了她的父母和她的祖国。 科尔沁蒙古人为了得到大晋的保护，安排了布穆布钦公主与皇太极的联姻。 苏沫儿也被派到晋国做公主的侍女，在那里她再次与多尔衮相遇，并意识到他是一个有权势的人。 最初不愿承认自己对无法接触的人的感情，Sumoer 试图远离，但她成为了多尔衮可以在他需要的时候求助的女人，他们的友谊发展成充满激情的浪漫。
