Scandinavian newcomers Lotte and Marie invite Brenda and Jenny to a cultural exchange evening, but not before they accidentally announce they are a couple and that Tim and Tony are their gay friends. Meanwhile, when Jenny gives Tim a new book and tasks him with building a cot, he thinks she is dropping a hint about starting a family.
Brenda decides to organise a Jessop Square version of TV talent show Opportunity Knocks. Needless to say, despite being behind the venture she is still determined to win, pinning her hopes on a mesmerizing disco-dance performance. However, her passionate desire for victory leads to a face-off with Kung Fu champions Jenny and Tony.
It's Jenny and Tim's wedding day, and Tony is determined that everything will go according to plan. Emma is their bridesmaid but is anxious to take part in the annual Jessop Square North vs Jessop Square South grudge football match. Somehow, she has to be able to play. Things get off to a bad start when Brenda and Emma help Jenny into her wedding dress, and they go from bad to worse. They've got two hours to get her down the aisle, and the clock is ticking.
For the first time in his life, Tony has got his own way. He's taking the family camping to Wales, and they are not going alone. Tim and Jenny will be joining them for their honeymoon, and they'll be picking up Tony's mother, Mam, on the way. She is a bereaved diabetic with a heart condition. What could possibly go wrong? They arrive at a deserted campsite, and the worst storm ever to hit the Gower Peninsula is very much on its way.
