The fourteenth of 20 episodes of The Grand View finds the artist at Olympic National Park, where Baumann brings his audience to the northern tip of Washington and to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Olympic National Park features glacier-capped mountains, magnificent stands of old-growth trees, and temperate rain forest. Interviews include Native American elder, Edward E Claplandho, who brings the past alive with stories of American Indian culture and the history of his people in the lush environment; and finally National Park rangers, Jon Preston and Michael Gurling, discuss the geologic and botanical phenomena of this beautiful region. Baumann concludes with a sunrise painting of the eroded pillars of the tidal flats.
