Barry creates a map book to guide him and Iris throughout their future in order to keep her safe, but the results are not what he expected, and instead, they relive the same day over and over again. Joe has a heart-to-heart with Cecile. A new big bad is introduced to Team Flash and friends and foes, old and new, begin to descend upon Central City.

Barry si scontra con Owen Mercer, alias Capitan Boomerang, per impedire il furto di una sofisticata batteria collegata a un ordigno nucleare. Il dispositivo però interagisce con la velocità di Barry e porta alla creazione di un loop temporale che costringe Barry e Iris a rivivere lo stesso mercoledì in eterno. La coppia così è costretta ad affrontare la questione del diario di eventi futuri compilato da Barry, che opprime Iris togliendole il libero arbitrio. Per uscire dal loop, Barry e Iris dovranno affrontare insieme le sfide della giornata: Iris accetta di espandere la CCC Media ma a modo suo; Barry salva Central City dall'esplosione nucleare innescata da Owen Mercer vibrando attraverso l'esplosione stessa. Intanto Cecile riesce a perfezionare i suoi poteri da telepata. Caitlin, terminato l'esperimento di fusione con Killer Frost, si è trasformata in un nuovo personaggio.
Barry und Iris starten nach den jüngsten Ereignissen und einer kurzen Auszeit wieder in den Alltag. Iris fühlt sich jedoch noch nicht bereit, zur Tagesordnung überzugehen und ihrem Job bei CCCMedia gerecht zu werden. Barry hingegen will sich einer neuen Herausforderung stellen und tritt seine Stelle als CSI-Direktor an - und auch als Flash ist er kurz darauf wieder gefordert, denn ein Meta-Wesen namens Captain Boomerang sorgt in der Stadt für Unruhe.
