Playing God

Johnnys alte Jugendfreunde Kate und Jason Moore besuchen ihn ganz überraschend. Jason leidet an einem schlimmen Herzfehler und bittet Johnny in seine Zukunft zu blicken. Johnny sieht, dass Janson ein Spenderherz bekommen und überleben wird. Bei einer Berührung mit Kate wird ihm allerdings klar, dass es ihr Herz ist, welches sein Leben rettet.

A wild old high school friend, Jason, comes to see Johnny seeking a vision of the future as he will be dying of a heart condition. Johnny sees him receiving a successful heart transplant and gives him the good news, but later gets a vision of Jason's sister Kate being killed in a driving accident and becoming the donor. Johnny later gets a vision of the other driver's license plate while Jason takes a turn for the worse, then sees a vision of him and Kate arguing which leads to her going out and getting in the accident. Johnny soon realizes even if he saves Kate and gets Jason a heart through Purdy's connections, someone else who would have received the heart will die. Johnny tracks down the drunk driver, Patrick Hanchin, and confronts him, but sees that even if Johnny stops him from killing Kate, he'll hit a school bus. Trapped in a web of fate where anything he does will make things worse, Johnny ends up provoking a fight with Kate and she dies and Jason lives, as he foresaw . . . but Jason learns from the experience.

Lors d'une réunion d'anciens amis, Johnny revoit Jason qui souhaite savoir s'il va survivre ou non à sa maladie. Johnny a une vision où Jason est sauvé grâce à une transplantation cardiaque. Peu après, sa vision se précise. Il réalise que le donneur n'est autre que Kate, la soeur de Jason, victime d'un accident de voiture. Johnny se retrouve alors face à un terrible dilemne : entre ses deux amis, lequel doit-il choisir ?

Johnny predice ad un amico che il trapianto del cuore andrà a buon fine. Ma una seconda visione gli rivela il nome della persona a cui apparterrà il cuore. Stavolta vanamente, prova ad intervenire.

Johnny recibe la visita de un antiguo compañero de intituto, Jason. Parece que su amigo podría morir de un problema cardíaco, pero Johnny tiene una visión en la que Jason salva la vida gracias a un transplante y decide darle la buena noticia. Pero más tarde, Johnny ve que la hermana de Jason, Kate, tiene un accidente de coche y es ella la donante.
