After asking Brooke her intentions towards Nick, Rick suggests that Brooke belongs with Nick and Jack; not Ridge. Nick picks Jack up from Taylor’s house after the custody hearing. Afterwards, an emotional Taylor calls a liquor store to deliver a bottle of vodka. As Taylor is about to drink the vodka, Rick rushes in to stop her and throws the bottle across the room, shattering it against the wall. Taylor thanks Rick with a passionate kiss. Ridge becomes upset when he learns that Brooke supported Nick in the custody suit. Nick asks Brooke to create a life with him, Jack and her kids, so that Jack can have the family that Nick never had. As Nick and Brooke are about to kiss, Ridge shows up demanding that Brooke come home with him.
