Glenn Greenwald

Glenn Greenwald is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, constitutional lawyer, and author of four New York Times bestselling books on politics and law. Widely considered a preeminent voice in the defense of free speech and civil liberties, Greenwald’s writing and investigative work has broken a number of major stories on state abuses both in the United States and abroad. Most notably, the 2013 revelation that the NSA was secretly spying on American citizens, as evidenced by classified documents leaked by NSA sub-contractor Edward Snowden. In today’s episode, we discuss the state of honest journalism, whether the NSA, FBI, and CIA can be redeemed, as well as debate U.S. foreign policy and American interventionism from opposing viewpoints.
