Past competitors on "American Ninja Warrior" take on a new side-by-side double obstacle course against another ninja. Four teams of ninjas will battle for a spot in the finals. The course features the Sonic Swing, Log Grip, Swing Jump, Dancing Stones, Pole Grasper, and Warped Wall. Storm Team includes Joe Moravsky, Rob Moravsky, and Marybeth Wang. The Average Jo Jo's feature Jo Jo Bynum, Jimmy Bogle Jr., and Caitlin Shukwit. Representing G-Force are Jessie Graff, Nicholas Coolridge, and Travis Brewer. Team TNT includes Travis Rosen, Adam Arnold, and Joyce Shahboz. The Relay Showdown obstacles are the Dueling Salmon Ladders, Tilting Ladders, and Tower Climb.
The second qualifying round features four new teams aiming for a spot in the finals. Along with the other obstacles, Bungee Road is a new fifth roadblock on the course. Golden Hearts feature Neil Craver, Grant McCartney, and Natalie Duran. NorCal Ninjas include David Campbell, Sean Noble, and Rachel Mulvaney. Towers of Power consists of Brandon Mears, Dan Polizzi, and Selena Laniel. Team Midoryama features Ian Dory, Meagan Martin, and Dan Yager.
The third qualifying round brings four more teams into the competition, all hoping for a spot in the finals. The Floating Steps accompany the other five obstacles on the course as a new fifth obstacle. Team Alpha features Brent Steffensen, Kacy Catanzaro, and Evan Dollard. Stratis Faction includes Ryan Stratis, Mike Bernardo, and Grace Jones. Expendabulls consists of Kevin Bull, Alan Connealy, and Luci Romberg. Tre Amigoz features Tremayne Dortch, Cassandra Dortch, and Andy Lowes.
The fourth qualifying round launches four new teams onto the course, which features the new Flying Shelf Grab as the fifth obstacle, along with the usual other obstacles. Team Ronin consists of Flip Rodriguez, JJ Woods, and Tiana Webberley. Karsonic Boom includes Karson Voiles, Brandon Berrett, and Beth Higginbotham. Wild Bunch features Lance Pekus, Ben Melick, and Rose Wetzel. Think Tank includes Noah Kaufman, Matt Wilder, and Asya Grechka.
Top Ninjas Geoff Britten, Elet Hall and Michelle Warnky are a few of the stars competing in the fifth qualifying week.
The sixth and final qualifying episode sees some of the best teams competing. Brian Arnold leads Party Time, Drew Drechsel is captain of the Real Life Ninjas, Jamie Rahn heads up the Rahn-Aways and Abel Gonzalez leads the InvincAbels.
The first finals episode features the winners of three qualifying episodes plus one wild card team. All four team vie for a spot in the Team Ninja Warrior Championship Relay.
Season 1 ends with the first champion being crowned. The remaining four teams compete for the second spot in the championship relay. The winning team faces the winner from last week.
