By special request, here's the storyboard animatic for Sublo and Tangy Mustard episode 7 "Halloween" from last year. You can see that Mr. Wubhamer was still supposed to be wearing a costume at this stage. I gave up on that idea during animation because his costume would've been too hard to animate and I had to finish the short by Halloween.
Here's a little bonus thing to tide you over till the next episode (it should be out sometime in January). This is the animatic for episode 4 "Katy's Birthday" which seems to be a fan favourite so far, and maybe my favourite as well. I do S&TM storyboards very quick and dirty, just scribbling in enough to see if I think the overall shot flow, acting and timing are working. I prefer not to get the boards too tied down, because I feel that takes away a lot of the impetus to actually do the animation, and removes the fun of discovery from the process. There's some dialogue missing, some shots that were later cut, some different staging etc.
Supercut of every time Tito Scaggle scratches himself from Sublo and Tangy Mustard episode 8-14
A bunch of rough animation and pre-colour footage from Sublo and Tangy Mustard season 1 (episodes 1-4). Not every shot has a rough version, because I just use the first pass as final animation if it's not too messy.
Here's some footage from our first Sublo and Tangy Mustard recording session, way back on May 30th, 2015. In the footage you can see me, Kevin (Tangy Mustard), Shannon (Ashley) and my cousin Jack, best-known in the show as Tito but seen here recording some extra walla. We recorded at Morph Productions in Toronto. Heather (Katy) also recorded that day but we didn't get any video footage! Kevin is recording the "Convention" episode here is it was originally going to be the season 1 finale, but I ended up holding it back and rewriting it for season 2.

Tomorrow another Sublo and Tangy Mustard episode called "Tito's Pants" is premiering on here. Here's a quick recap to remind you of some relevant story points!
Animation Block Party commissioned me to do this little Sublo and Tangy Mustard micro-short to introduce an event we did last night! It played at the beginning of a screening curated by the awesome indie animation showcase Malt Adult, followed by Picture This-- a live cartoon-comedy hybrid show where comedians do a set and cartoonists draw on a screen projected behind them, and they play off each other. I draw in Picture This pretty regularly, and I love Malt Adult and ABP so I was happy to throw together a little opening film for this special combo valentines show! Casey Safron (the founder of Animation Block Party) suggested the "Night of the Hunter" love-hate concept.
