With Katan Village in sight, Woody and crew discover a mechanical airship. Woody’s gut tells him the airship belongs to Dr. Thales’ goons, but a black magic wielding Monasif appears. Determined to teach the crew a lesson, he attacks with powerful magic. Monasif makes everyone hallucinate by creating clones and making the crew fight with each other. During the chaos, Clobgor mistakes Lucy for an enemy and hits her. Woody and crew are overwhelmed by Monasif’s black magic. As a last resort, Woody summons Doravis and blinds Monasif with dust, enabling the crew to run away.
After suffering a major blow from Monasif, Woody and crew get help in Katan Village from Spiritual Healer ‘Zina’. Convinced that Katan is in danger from Thales and his goons, Woody and friends head to the village chief’s house. Meanwhile, a young man is already there for a visit. However, the young man is none other than the sorcerer Jinx. Jinx has deceived the chief and his daughter in order to get his hands on the village’s Spirit Stone. After stealing the stone, Jinx puts both father and daughter in a trance and makes his escape. Under a spell, the chief believes that Woody and crew are the thieves, and he orders his guards to capture them. A big chase ensues.
Under Jinx’s spell, Katan’s chief throws Woody in prison, while Kyle and the rest of the crew are left on the run. To make matters worse, Jinx uses his sorcery to turn the pets in the village into violent brutes that end up attacking Kyle and friends. Luckily, Bambi comes to their rescue again, and Zina heals the entranced pets. However, the number of spellbound pets increases wreaking havoc on the village. Meanwhile, after relishing the chaos he has created, Jinx hops on his airship and flies off.
Bambi and crew are busy fending off wild pets that have launched an attack on Katan Village. Feeling outmatched, they decide they need to break Woody out of jail. While Bambi, Kyle and the others are fighting off the wild pets, Moga heads to the prison to hand Woody his StoneReader. Bambi and the others are doing their best to drive back the enraged pets, but as things are about to go south, Woody and Moga arrive on the scene. Woody summons his pets and they defeat the wild ones. Just as they’re about to celebrate, a giant wild pet casts a dark shadow over the group.
Thanks to Woody, most of the wild pets have been taken care of. However, the giant and vicious pet Spino appears and takes down Woody’s pets one by one. While fending off Spino himself, Woody gets knocked down, and Moga gets badly injured trying to protect him. Filled with guilt, Woody suddenly remembers what the Spirit Oracle told him about the mystical XP Herb. As soon as Woody gives Moga the XP Herb, Moga awakens and newly charged with overwhelming strength he defeats Spino. Woody and crew head back to Shamgir Village, realizing that it may be Dr. Thales’ next target.
Woody and crew decide they need to recruit another trainer in order to protect Shamgir Village. Hearing that a skilled trainer named Biff is at the arena, the crew heads over. However, Biff’s cocky attitude riles Woody up to challenge Biff to a pet battle. Unfortunately, Woody’s toughest pets are still injured after Katan’s combat. So, Woody tries to train his ‘weaker’ pets, but they refuse to battle. Feeling hurt, Woody goes off to recruit some new teammates. During his absence, the pets remember how much they care about Woody, and despite being afraid they resolve to join the battle at the arena.
It’s the day of Woody and Biff’s battle. In one glance it’s obvious that Biff’s pets are strong and Woody’s pets are scared. Beachtoise and Otutu go hide, Mui dozes off, and even Woody looks less confident than usual. But things aren’t what they appear~ Woody’s ‘weak-looking’ pets start to K.O. Biff’s pets one by one. The unexpected turn of events forces Biff to take the battle seriously, but after Jajako’s defeat, Biff ends up losing. Biff can’t believe that he got beat by a ragtag group of ‘weaklings’. However, after Woody mentions what a trainer’s duty is, it brings Biff back to his humble beginnings. Biff promises to join Woody’s team after some more training with his pets.
To prepare for Thales’ inevitable attack, Woody and his pets start training. The pets question why Kyle isn’t training with them, especially since he looks like a Kaki. Kyle objects by stating that he is really a human man and walks off in a rage. However, after getting harassed by two bullies and humiliated by three little baby pets, Kyle is determined to become stronger. With Woody’s help and some tough training, Kyle acquires a lethal fart bomb skill. In the end, he gets his revenge.
The same man keeps appearing in Lucy’s dreams. Convinced that he must be someone from her past, she decides to return to the river where she was first found in hopes of recovering her memory. Bubbles and Clobgor go with her as bodyguards. However, instead of helping, they hinder her progress and end up making her angry. As Lucy leaves them behind and goes upriver on her own, she runs into a violent Golggon that covets her necklace. Purely by accident, Clobgor and Bubbles end up rescuing Lucy. When Lucy thanks them for their help, she discovers an important clue to her past.
Jinx, Chan, and Bob arrive at Shamgir in order to take the village’s Spirit Stone and Moga. With them is a mysterious man wearing a croc head piece. As the man summons out ferocious pets with his StoneReader, Woody and crew watch in shock. Woody summons his own pets to fight, but they’re no match for the man’s strategic attacks, ones that seem to know every pet’s weakness. Eventually, Woody is backed into a corner and Moga collapses after a serious blow.
Seeing Woody on the ropes, Biff reminds him to fight with his head like he did at the arena battle. Thanks to Biff, Woody retaliates strategically and manages to turn the tables. However, Monasif’s black magic puts them in danger of experiencing another crushing defeat… Out of the blue, newly turned trainer Uba and his pet Verpoo appear. With Uba’s help, Woody and crew get their second wind! They start to put the pressure on Jinx and his goons.
The man in the croc head piece summons out ferocious pets like Falcheon, Baut, and Prachius with his StoneReader. Their vicious attacks start to eliminate Woody’s pets one by one. Just then, returning from the river, Clobgor appears to help Woody! However, Clobgor gets quickly knocked out by Baut, and in the confusion, Falcheon snatches Moga away.
As Moga is in danger of being snatched away by Falcheon, Lucy and Bubbles arrive at the scene. Their appearance makes the man in the croc head piece stop his attacks. Instead, he turns and grabs Jinx by the neck. Monasif steps in to help, and after knocking the trainer out, Jinx and his goons retreat. Worried that Dr. Thales’ dark forces will invade other villages, Biff and Uba volunteer to set off to warn their neighbors of the impending doom.
Ellia went out to gather herbs, but hasn’t returned, so Plato and Woody go to look for her. Plato is worried that something might have happened to Ellia. Just then Woody finds Ellia’s sandal in the mouth of a pet called Veron. However, due to a wild pet’s surprise attack, Veron scurries off. Plato and Woody follow Veron’s trail and eventually find Ellia, and they discover that Veron rescued Ellia from the same wild pet that attacked Woody! That’s how Veron ends up being Woody’s next pet.
Woody decides they need a stronger pet to fight off Thales and his goons. He finds Veldor and asks him to join their team, but Yangidon is dead set against it. Apparently, Yangidon once got demolished by Veldor in the past. Feeling embarrassed in front of his teammates, and feeling belittled by Veldor, Yangidon pounces on Veldor in a fit of rage and they both get swept away in the water. They end up being stuck together in a cave. The situation forces them to become closer which helps them form a lasting friendship.
Biff and Uba have set out to warn other villages of Dr. Thales’ threat. While crossing the desert, they run into Bambi and Zina who are also on the same mission, so they join forces. Just as they’re about to drop from heat exhaustion and hunger, Sandizard pops out. Worn down by Sandizard pestering them to play, they eventually get dragged toward Dr. Thales’ lair.
Things were quiet for a while in Shamgir Village until Dr. Thales made a personal appearance after the success of his animated mecha-pet! At first, Woody’s pets seem bewildered by Thales’ Kakibot, but through great teamwork they manage to defeat it. Thales and his goons flee the scene. However, it is all a ruse. In the end, Woody and crew lose the Spirit Stone, the Book of History, and even Ellia!
After discovering Dr. Thales’ lair by chance, Biff, Uba, Bambi, and Zina decide to break in. Once inside, they find out that Jinx has kidnapped Ellia to decode where the great machine pet Golros is buried! The trainers take action to stop them. However, Thales mobilizes his ferocious army of Kakibots.
The trainers are besieged by an army of Kakibots. They summon their pets to fend them off, but they find themselves outmatched. Realizing they need help, Biff wants Bambi and Zina to flee, so they can tell Woody where Thales’ lair is located. But just as Bambi is about to fly off with Zina, a Kakibot pulls them down! After helping them leave, Biff and Uba stay behind in a desperate act of heroism…soon a thunderous explosion is heard.
While Woody and crew worry about where Thales and Jinx have taken Ellia, Bambi suddenly shows up. Bambi takes them to Thales’ lair. However, after putting Ellia in a trance, the villains leave the lair to go to Golros’ resting site. In their place, a frightening surprise is lurking in the shadows.
Left behind in Thales’ lair, a powerful machine pet awaits Woody and crew, Mecha-Veldor! Its super strength and speed, plus its lethal weapon render Woody’s pets helpless. In the meantime, Thales and his goons arrive at the Cave of Gloom where Golros is buried. Plato proposes a dangerous plan to send Moga inside Mecha-Veldor’s body in order to extinguish it once and for all.
Woody and crew finally make it to the Cave of Gloom. However, the man with the croc head piece blocks their passage. Woody’s team struggles to fight off the man’s formidable pets. Just then, convinced that the man is the same man from her dreams, Lucy approaches him. However, the man violently shoves Lucy away…
Lucy loses consciousness from the mysterious man’s shove. But while passed out, her memory comes flooding back! Lucy finally remembers who the man in the croc head piece is, and she gets up and shouts for him to regain his senses. The man grunts in anguish as he starts to fall out of the trance. Chan and Bob attempt to reinforce the spell…when suddenly, giant stalactites fall from the cave’s ceiling…
Woody and crew have finally reached the core of the cave where Golros is encased. Unfortunately, Jinx’s sorcery has already cracked open the barrier around Golros, awakening the eternally damned curse! With terrifying strength, Golros crushes Krok’s pets in a blink of an eye. Then Thales orders Golros to take care of Woody and crew as well, but uncontrollable, it lashes out in wild fury.
Answering to no one, Golros flattens Dr. Thales. If Golros manages to escape the cave, the collapse of Tectonika is only a matter of time! Woody thinks of a plan to stop that from happening, but his strategy is no match for Golros’ superior strength, and he ends up falling down a bottomless pit of doom.
The crew destroys the bridge and escapes the clutches of Golros! But Golros easily jumps over to the other side and chases after them again. The crew runs away frantically, but the machine soon catches up. Down in the pit, as Woody is falling deeper and deeper, a mystical glow envelops his body. The Spirit King bestows his powers unto Woody. Woody is back, and with his new Spirit-powered StoneReader, he summons the legendary pet Mogaros to defeat Golros.
While trying to protect his friends from Golros, Mogaros gets bitten on the leg. Physical combat no longer working, Mogaros musters up his last ounce of strength to breathe fire. Golros and Mogaros are fighting fire with fire! But because of his injured leg, Mogaros starts to fall back from Golros’ powerful force. Just then, Woody and Mogaros get blessed by the Spirit King’s shield, and they charge at Golros with new strength. Finally, they terminate the beast.
